Dacia is expanding the Dacia Duster’s powertrain options, offering more power while remaining true to its reputation for value for money.

The new hybrid 155 powertrain, soon available for the Duster, combines a 109 bhp four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors (a 50 hp motor and a high-voltage starter/generator) and a 1.4 kWh battery. It features an automatic electric gearbox with four gears for the internal combustion engine (ICE) and two for the electric motors, all without a clutch.

This system enables the Duster to stay in all-electric mode for longer periods in urban areas, boosting efficiency. The hybrid 155 has a combined fuel consumption of 4.6 litres per 100 km and CO2 emissions of only 105 g/km, showing an improvement over the hybrid 140.

For the mild hybrid 140, a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine combined with a 48V mild hybrid system enhances efficiency, lowering fuel consumption to 5.4 litres per 100 km and reducing CO2 emissions to 122 g/km.

Alongside these powertrains, the Duster will feature a refreshed interior with exclusive upholstery on the Journey trim and new 18-inch black alloy wheels on the Extreme trim. Both trims will also include adaptive cruise control as standard.

Full pricing and order details will be announced in November 2025.
