Bentley has unveiled the exclusive ‘Ombré by Mulliner’ paint finish, which seamlessly blends two distinct colours along the length of a four-door saloon for the first time. This unique finish transitions from vibrant Topaz Blue at the front to a darker Windsor Blue at the rear, and it is hand-crafted by skilled artisans at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England.
The application process takes nearly 60 hours and involves two technicians working carefully to ensure a symmetrical transition across the vehicle. The paint is tinted using traditional mixing methods, requiring precise colour selection to achieve a seamless blend without adding a third colour. The Ombré technique is also available in other combinations, such as Sunburst Gold to Orange Flame and Tungsten to Onyx. Each car is unique, yet they all look flawless, thanks to the expertise of the technicians.
The Ombré Flying Spur will debut at the Southampton International Boat Show, starting tomorrow and running until 28 September. This model follows the Continental GT, which was the first to use this technique and was showcased at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week. More colour combinations are expected to be released soon.
