Three modified INEOS Grenadiers have been delivered to the fire and rescue services in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, including two station wagons and one quartermaster pick-up for operations in flood- and landslide-affected areas. These vehicles feature upgrades such as a portal axle system for improved ground clearance and wading depth.

The fire service selected the Grenadier for its robustness and off-road ability. Dr. Michael Lülf, Fire Director, highlighted the importance of dependable transportation for rescue teams operating in difficult conditions. LETECH GmbH & Co KG supplied and tailored the vehicles, outfitting them with emergency features such as a reflective roof rack, multi-function rear ladder, and upgraded suspension.

Additional upgrades on certain vehicles increase ground clearance from 264mm to 450mm and wading depth from 800mm to 1,050mm.

Christian Blank, Regional Director of INEOS Automotive in Europe, expressed pride in the Grenadier’s versatility for various emergency services since its launch in 2022.
