The Ford Pro Pick-up has secured its fourth International Pick-up Award (IPUA), marking a significant milestone as it’s the first time a hybrid vehicle, the new Ranger PHEV, has won. This recognition follows extensive testing in Bulgaria, where Ford outperformed competitors like INEOS, Foton, and Maxus.

Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of IVOTY and IPUA, praised the Ranger PHEV for its blend of efficiency and performance, featuring a 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine paired with a 75 kW battery, offering 281 PS and 697 Nm of torque with a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg.

The award was presented at the Solutrans 2025 Gala Dinner in Lyon, France, on November 19. Hans Schep, General Manager of Ford Pro Europe, expressed pride in the recognition, emphasizing the vehicle’s performance and productivity features, including its Pro Power Onboard capability. Notably, the Ranger has previously won in 2013, 2020, and shared the honor with Volkswagen Amarok in 2024, making Ford the leader in IPUA awards.
