Volkswagen will launch two special-edition models of the Touareg on Thursday, December 11: the Touareg “Final Edition” and the plug-in hybrid Touareg R “Final Edition“.
The Touareg, a luxury SUV celebrated for its off-road prowess, has remained popular since its 2002 launch. Production of the combustion engine variant for UK customers will conclude in 2027, but these special editions continue to generate excitement.
The Touareg “Final Edition” replaces the Black Edition, while the Touareg R “Final Edition” replaces the standard R model. Both editions feature unique designs with “Final Edition” engraving, embossed gear levers, and illuminated trim.
The “Final Edition” Touareg is priced at £72,535, £1,990 less than the Black Edition, but includes £2,500 worth of features, such as:
- Metallic paint
- Upgraded Varenna leather seats
- A 90-litre fuel tank
- Power folding tow bar with Trailer Assist
- Ambient lighting with 30 color options
The Touareg R “Final Edition” costs £81,455, £1,805 less than the standard R and adds features worth £1,700, including:
- Metallic paint
- Power folding tow bar with Trailer Assist
The new Touaregs have a 286 PS 3.0 TDI engine and the 462 PS 3.0 TSI eHybrid engine, respectively. Both offer 4MOTION all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
