BMW Group UK registered 170,051 vehicles in 2025, with 28.1% battery electric. BMW had 122,723 registrations, maintaining its position as the UK’s top premium brand. MINI registered 47,328 units, nearly a third fully electric.

“Despite a tough market, BMW Group had a strong year,” said David George, CEO at BMW Group UK and Ireland.

“With over a quarter of our registrations now fully electric, we remain focused on customer choice. The BMW iX3 begins deliveries in March, launching a new era in technology, design, and performance.”

The BMW i4 remained the top all-electric model for the second consecutive year, with 12,158 registrations. The BMW iX1 increased by 10% to 6,376 units. PHEV registrations rose by 27.4% in 2025. The BMW i7 continues to dominate the luxury segment; the BMW 7 Series and BMW i7 remain popular choices for chauffeurs and professional drivers, thanks to their advanced interiors and a wide range of powertrains. BMW 7 Series registrations increased to 794 units in 2025, while BMW i7 registrations grew by 54.4 per cent to 959 vehicles, building on last year’s strong growth. The portfolio continued to perform robustly.

Following its first full year on sale in the UK, the fourth-generation BMW X3 saw a 37.3 per cent rise in registrations, reflecting sustained customer appeal driven by its refreshed design and advanced in-car technology.

BMW M registered 15,746 units in 2025. MINI registered 47,328 units with 31.7% BEV sales (13,900 units), up from 22% in 2024.

The MINI Aceman registered 5,882 units in its first full year. The MINI Cooper remained the best-seller with 24,486 registrations. The Countryman registered 13,580 units, while the Convertible rose 23.2% to 3,380 units.
