Three new electric crossovers from Rivian have recently been unveiled.
The R2, a shrunken version of the R1T and R1S models, is the first vehicle on Rivian’s new mid-size platform. It is expected to rival Tesla’s Model Y and will be available in single, dual, and tri-motor forms. The price is estimated to start at around $45,000 with deliveries scheduled for the first half of 2026. It will also be available in Europe at a later date.
The R3 and R3X were surprises at the launch event in California. They are smaller than the R2 and more like raised-up hatchbacks. They’ll be available in 2027, priced under $40,000 for the R3 and a tri-motor set-up for 0-62mph in under three seconds for the R3X..
“It’s quite an overwhelming experience, especially for Jack Rix, the editor-in-chief of Top Gear Magazine. He had the privilege of getting a sneak peek of Rivian’s upcoming R2, R3, and R3X models before their official unveiling. You can join him on an exciting tour of what Rivian has in store for the future”.
