Alpine has already impressed us with its A110 sports car, and its first electric vehicle (EV), the Renault 5-based A290, is equally exciting. Now, Alpine is introducing a more sophisticated version in the form of the A390 crossover.

This EV is still a prototype, with a production model expected to arrive in 2026. It features one electric motor at the front and two at the rear, allowing for torque vectoring, which promises exceptional handling and agility.

Join Whatcar?’s Illya Verpraet as he takes the A390 for a spin on a wet test track, well ahead of its official debut. In fact, it’s so early in development that many details remain a secret, and the interior is still covered with protective bags.
