BMW Group UK has kicked off the new year by winning four prestigious awards at the What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2025. The BMW M3 Touring, BMW 4 Series, and BMW X7 each claimed major category wins, while MINI was recognised as the Most Reliable Manufacturer.

The BMW M3 Touring maintained its title as Performance Car of the Year for the second year. Editor Steve Huntingford praised its agility in handling various driving scenarios and noted its practical family car attributes.

For the fifth consecutive year, the BMW 4 Series was named Coupé/Convertible of the Year, lauded for its driving enjoyment and spacious interior. The BMW X7 was awarded Luxury Car of the Year, recognised for its premium feel, ample space for up to seven passengers, and high-quality features.

MINI was highlighted for its reliability, achieving the lowest fault rate in the 2024 What Car? Reliability Survey. The MINI Electric boasted a 98.4% reliability score.

In sub-categories, the BMW i7 won Best Electric Luxury Car, the BMW iX was awarded Family SUV Best Interior, and the BMW i5 took home Best Executive Car Interior. The revised BMW 330e was recognised as the Best Plug-in Hybrid to Drive, while the BMW M240i Coupe earned Best Performance Car for Value. Lastly, the BMW 1 Series won Best Family Car Interior, showcasing its premium design and class-leading technology.
