Geely Auto UK has announced the addition of the Ultra to the Geely EX5 line-up, with vehicles expected in dealerships from 5 May 2026. The Ultra, positioned as the flagship variant of the Geely EX5 range, introduces increased range, a larger battery, enhanced towing capacity, and an additional exterior colour. The move underscores the brand’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative, value-driven new energy vehicle solutions for UK customers.
The new Geely EX5 Ultra is powered by a 68.39 kWh battery, delivering a WLTP range of up to 280 miles. This capacity is intended to provide drivers with greater confidence on longer journeys, while maintaining the smooth and responsive driving experience characteristic of Geely’s Global Electric Architecture (GEA). The EX5 Ultra accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds and produces 320 Nm of torque, blending strong performance with notable efficiency.
For the first time in the Geely EX5 line-up, the Ultra introduces a 750kg braked towing capacity, supported by Trailer Stability Assist. This upgrade significantly enhances the model’s versatility, positioning the EX5 Ultra as a practical choice for active lifestyles, light towing, and leisure activities.
The EX5 Ultra also debuts a new exterior paint option, Rainforest Green, expanding the existing colour palette and offering customers a distinctive choice inspired by natural landscapes.
The range-topping Ultra is priced at £38,990 OTR, while the Geely EX5 starts from £31,990 OTR and features a high level of technology and safety specification from the entry-level SE. Standard equipment includes a 15.4-inch central infotainment screen, 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, surround view camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The Ultra also incorporates the same additional specifications as the Max variant, such as a 13.8-inch heads-up display, a 16-speaker FlyMe sound system, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, and ventilated front seats with massage function.
Michael Yang, Managing Director of Geely Auto UK, stated, “The launch of the Geely EX5 Ultra marks yet another important step forward for Geely Auto in the UK. We have listened to customer and retailer feedback and responded with a model that offers a greater range, higher specification and increased everyday usability, while remaining true to our commitment to outstanding value.”
Yang added, “We also recognise that a larger battery brings additional weight and higher energy consumption, so we have carefully struck a balance between battery weight and range enhancement. As with the rest of the Geely EX5 range, both the battery and the vehicle are covered by an eight-year warranty, providing customers with added peace of mind.”
As part of the ongoing launch offer, Geely Auto, in partnership with Andersen EV, is providing all EX5 customers with a dual-branded Andersen 7kW smart home charger, professionally installed for £499. With a market value of £1,499, this initiative saves customers £1,000 and aims to make the transition to electric mobility as seamless as possible.
The Geely EX5 Ultra is now available through Geely’s UK retailer network, with first customer deliveries anticipated from May 2026.
