As colder weather settles in Britain, many motorists are turning to SUVs and 4x4s for better handling in challenging conditions. SUVs now make up nearly a third of all vehicles on UK roads and accounted for 60% of new car registrations in 2023.

Experts from HPI have identified ten used models under £11,000 that offer excellent value. The Dacia Duster 1.5 Blue dCi Comfort 5dr 4X4 stands out as the best-value option at £9,925, followed by the Suzuki Ignis 1.2 Hybrid at £10,250, and the Dacia Duster 1.3 TCe 150 Prestige at £10,550. The Subaru XV 1.6i SE is listed at £10,850, and the Ssangyong Korando 1.6 D Pioneer at £10,950 rounds out the top five.

The study also listed models with the highest year-on-year price reductions. The Audi E-Tron Sportback leads with a 24.9% drop, followed by the Ssangyong Korando Diesel (22.3%) and the Land Rover Range Rover Velar hybrid (22.2%).

Chris Plumb, senior valuations editor at HPI, noted that the SUV market is rapidly growing, with strong consumer demand for affordable, practical options. Conducting an HPI Check before purchasing any used vehicle is vital for understanding its history and protecting against potential scams.
