Carwow’s Mat Watson and his team have gathered every special M4 from the F82 and G82 generations for a quarter-mile showdown!

First up is the F82 M4 CS, equipped with a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine that delivers 460 hp and 600 Nm. It transmits power to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and has a weight of 1,580 kg, with a new price starting at £89,130.
Next is the M4 GTS, also powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine but producing 500 hp and 600 Nm. It weighs 1,510 kg and was originally priced at £120,770.
Lastly, the M4 DTM has the same setup as the GTS, offering 500 hp and 600 Nm, also with a 7-speed dual-clutch and weighing 1,510 kg. It was the most expensive of the three, costing around £130,000 new.

The winner will face the G82 M4 CS and M4 CSL. The G82 M4 CS features a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six producing 550 hp and 650 Nm, with power delivered to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, weighs 1,760 kg, and has a starting price of £117,000.
The CSL has the same engine and power but only delivers power to the rear wheels, weighs 1,625 kg, and starts at £129,000.
