Introducing the all-new BMW M2 CS! According to Carwow’s Mat Watson, this is the most extreme version of BMW’s latest M2, and the BMW M team has made significant efforts to ensure that the M2 CS stands out from the standard model. And as expected, Mat takes a closer look at the changes…
Firstly, the kidney grilles, bumper, and front splitter have all been revamped. While the headlights aren’t gold like those on other CS models, they still look fantastic!
Moving to the side of the car, it boasts new bronze alloy wheels and red brake calipers, with an option to add carbon ceramic brakes for a hefty price of over £8,000! At the rear, there’s an impressive ducktail spoiler and a carbon fibre diffuser. The roof is also constructed from carbon fibre, which comes as standard on the CS.
Inside, the layout bears resemblance to that of the standard M2, but there is an abundance of carbon fibre trim and several CS badges. The chassis has been refined to enhance its track focus, featuring stiffer suspension in comparison to the standard model.
In terms of performance, the M2 CS maintains the same 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine as the standard model, but the power output has been increased from 480 hp and 600 Nm of torque to 530 hp and 650 Nm. It features rear-wheel drive, is available exclusively with an automatic transmission, and has a price tag of approximately £86,000.
