The success story at the Nürburgring continues with the BMW M3 CS Touring, which recorded a lap time of 7 minutes and 29.490 seconds, making it the fastest Touring car ever on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife (fuel consumption combined: 10.5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined: 238 g/km according to WLTP; CO2 class: G). This new record follows the BMW M2 CS, which holds the top time in the compact category.

This benchmark time highlights the exceptional performance of the M3 CS Touring, positioning it as the perfect “One Car Solution” alongside other top models like the BMW M4 and M3 CS.

The BMW M Test Centre is crucial to this success, acting as the development and testing hub for vehicle projects at the Nürburgring, a partnership that has flourished for over 25 years. The Nürburgring Nordschleife, renowned for its challenging layout, requires high performance and driving dynamics, and lap times are carefully monitored for compliance.

BMW M has a rich motorsport legacy, with numerous successes, including 21 overall victories at the 24-hour race. This year, ROWE Racing secured a dramatic win after starting from 17th position, showcasing the brand’s competitive edge.

Introducing the BMW M3 CS Touring: a blend of maximum performance and everyday usability.

This special edition Touring Car has a powerful 405 kW (550 hp) six-cylinder engine, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 300 km/h. It features engineered engine mounting and an M-specific exhaust for an exhilarating sound, combined with an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system for exceptional traction and dynamic performance.

The meticulously tuned chassis provides optimised settings for stability control and track performance. The standard M Compound braking system delivers strong deceleration, with an optional M Carbon-ceramic brake system available.

Inside, the M3 CS Touring merges a sporty cockpit with advanced technology and exclusive design features, while maximising interior storage capacity from 500 to 1,510 litres beneath the high-opening tailgate.
