BMW has launched the first series-produced model from the Neue Klasse range: the all-new BMW iX3. This next-generation Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) marks a new era of driving enjoyment with its modern design and advanced technology.

The iX3 represents a significant milestone in BMW’s shift towards electrification, digitalisation, and sustainability. It leads the Neue Klasse, with technology expected to influence 40 new models and updates by 2027.

Designed specifically for this lineup, the iX3 features BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive technology, including efficient electric motors, new high-voltage batteries, and 800-volt technology. This enables a remarkable single-charge range of up to 500 miles (WLTP), making it the longest-range battery electric vehicle (BEV) on the UK market. Additionally, its 400 kW charging capability allows drivers to add 231 miles of range in just ten minutes, representing a 30 per cent faster charging speed than previous technology.

The iX3 also introduces a new digital nervous system powered by four high-performance computers that manage driving dynamics, automated driving, infotainment, and essential comfort functions. The “Heart of Joy” superbrain enhances efficiency by allowing 98 per cent of braking to be achieved through energy recuperation.

Inside, the innovative BMW Panoramic iDrive, powered by BMW Operating System X, transforms the user experience. Key features include the BMW Panoramic Vision display, an optional 3D Head-Up Display, a redesigned Central Display, and a new multi-function steering wheel, all designed for intuitive and driver-focused interaction.
