The Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA) will launch a new era for Mercedes-Benz Vans in 2026, redefining the privately positioned van and elevating it to the luxury segment with a focus on the “Private Lounge” concept. The forthcoming model lineup will range from practical family vans to exclusive VIP shuttles and luxurious limousines, catering to diverse customer needs and establishing a unique segment of automotive luxury.
The Vision V show car exemplifies this vision, combining generous space with maximum exclusivity and a cutting-edge digital experience. This luxurious chauffeur-driven limousine offers a cocooning atmosphere, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern technology in a stunning design.
Thomas Klein, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans, stated, “The Vision V sets standards in design, comfort, and user experience, fulfilling our customers’ highest expectations.” Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer, added that the Vision V transforms decades of iconic van heritage into the highest luxury transportation.
The spacious “Private Lounge” features a large, automatically opening portal door, a retractable running board, and an intelligent glass wall that can switch between transparent and opaque. The interior blends elegance with technology, highlighted by luxurious materials like crystal white Nappa leather and open-pore burr wood.
Integrated display cabinets along the side walls store personal items, while a sophisticated sound system adds to the ambiance. The center console doubles as a display cabinet with a touchpad and a fold-out table that converts to a chessboard, enhancing both functionality and luxury.
