Kia UK has launched a new entry-level variant of its popular EV6 lineup, the ‘Air’ model, now available with a Standard Range battery. This version features a 63.0 kWh battery pack and is priced from £39,235 on the road, making it suitable for budget-conscious customers seeking practicality and modern design.

The EV6 ‘Air’ Standard Range offers a driving range of up to 265 miles on the WLTP ‘combined’ cycle and 400 miles on the ‘city’ cycle. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.7 seconds and has a top speed of 115 mph. Its lighter weight of 1,955 kg results in a more affordable insurance group rating of 29E.

Using Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV6 can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes with a 350 kW DC charger. It offers 490 litres of luggage space and a 52-litre ‘frunk’ for additional storage, along with towing capacities of up to 750 kg.

Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated front seats, Smart Cruise Control, a dual 12.3-inch touchscreen display, and wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. The interior is finished in black cloth and synthetic leather, with paint options available for an additional £675.

Orders for the EV6 ‘Air’ open today, with deliveries starting in May. It includes a 7-year, 100,000-mile warranty, plus an 8-year, 100,000-mile warranty for the battery and motor.
