Lotus has updated its Emira lineup, introducing the more powerful Emira Turbo SE alongside the Emira V6. The Turbo SE features enhanced performance and design, maintaining the striking supercar-like appearance that driving enthusiasts appreciate. It offers a unique blend of ride quality and handling with outstanding aerodynamics.
A Name from the Past
The Emira Turbo SE honors Lotus’s history, reflecting its 2-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine and paying tribute to the Turbo Esprit, which introduced turbo technology in 1980. The “SE” designation signifies higher performance and enhanced equipment, continuing a legacy seen in models like the Esprit Turbo SE and Elan SE.
Increased Performance
With a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine and an 8-speed DCT gearbox from AMG, the Emira Turbo SE delivers 400 bhp (up 40 bhp) and 480 Nm of torque. This translates to a top speed of 290 km/h (up 18 km/h) and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds, embodying Lotus’s philosophy of “For The Drivers.”

SE: Special Equipment
Standard features include the Lotus Drivers Pack, which consists of sports suspension, upgraded brake discs, and launch control. The Turbo SE also boasts 20″ V-spoke forged Satin Grey wheels, Zinc Grey paint, an Alcantara headliner, and unique badging. Prices start at £89,500.
Emira V6
The Emira V6 features a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine with 400 bhp. It offers a standard six-speed manual or optional automatic transmission and includes performance features like cross-drilled brake discs and Touring suspension. Prices for the V6 start at £92,500.
Made in Hethel, UK
Produced at Lotus’s Hethel factory since 1966, the Emira has a current annual production capacity of around 5,000 cars, significantly increased from past levels. Lotus has built more Emiras than Esprit models, highlighting its efficiency and quality improvements.
