Audi is set to unveil an exciting new Q6 off-road concept featuring two electric motors that produce a combined output of 380 kW. With newly designed portal axles, the vehicle can tackle gradients of up to 100 percent and enjoys a ride height increase of 160 mm (6.3 inches) and a 250 mm (9.8 inches) wider track.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner expressed enthusiasm after the first test drive, highlighting the Q6 e-tron off-road concept as a redefinition of quattro, showcasing the capabilities of their all-electric platform. While traditional portal axles typically offer a torque increase of 20 to 30 percent, Audi’s design achieves a 50 percent boost, allowing for climbing gradients of up to 45 degrees.
The Q6 e-tron serves as the basis for this concept car and is the first model on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), setting new standards for electric performance and efficiency.
- The Q6 e-tron off-road concept will be showcased on February 1, 2025, at the F.A.T. Ice Race and on the social media channels of @Audi Sport.
