Since the introduction of the Beetle, Volkswagen has provided affordable mobility with its compact and attractive cars. During the world premiere of the ID. EVERY1 show car, the German automaker revealed an entry-level all-electric model scheduled to launch in 2027, starting at approximately 20,000 euros.
Additionally, the ID. 2all is set to debut in 2026, with a price tag of around 25,000 euros. Both models belong to the new Electric Urban Car Family, which is designed with front-wheel drive and is based on Volkswagen’s advanced modular electric platform, MEB.
Volkswagen aims to provide maximum variety in electric mobility for Europe, expanding its portfolio from efficient combustion engine models to all-electric vehicles by 2026. Thomas Schäfer states, “The ID. EVERY1 signifies our commitment to offering various models, including affordable all-electric options.”

The ID. EVERY1 emphasises customer-defined vehicles, allowing software updates and adaptations to meet user needs throughout their life cycle. Volkswagen’s Head of Design, Andreas Mindt, describes the ID. EVERY1 as bold yet accessible, featuring design elements that lend it a relatable character.
Built on the new MEB platform, the ID. EVERY1 showcases innovative space utilisation and efficiency. It can reach speeds of up to 130 km/h and is powered by a 70 kW motor, boasting a range of at least 250 kilometres. Measuring 3,880 mm, it accommodates four passengers and provides a luggage compartment of 305 litres.
Volkswagen’s “Future Volkswagen” agreement, established with employee representatives in December 2024, seeks to integrate economic stability, job security, and technological leadership in sustainable mobility, laying the groundwork for future projects through a clearly defined three-phase plan.
