Parkopedia and Škoda have enhanced their in-car payment service notifications to inform drivers when approaching locations for in-car payment transactions, improving convenience for parking and fueling.

This new “nudging” feature provides alerts on the vehicle’s infotainment screen, helping drivers locate payment sites quickly. It relies on Parkopedia’s comprehensive parking data to ensure accurate location information. The feature will be available in fuel-powered Škoda models starting in the second quarter 2024, including the Fabia, Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq, Octavia, Scala, and Superb. Notifications for parking will also be included in the all-electric Škoda Elroq at launch, with additional electric models gaining this functionality in 2025.

This service reduces the stress of finding parking machines and minimizes distractions while driving. According to the latest Parkopedia Global Driver Survey, 59% of European drivers prefer in-car payment options for parking, with parking being the most requested service.
