Shropshire, Staffordshire, and Cheshire Blood Bikes (SSCBB), an entirely volunteer-run charity, travels over 375,000 miles annually and completes about 7,000 urgent medical deliveries for NHS hospitals in the regions. SSCBB has added four Dacia Jogger cars to its fleet of 18 motorcycles to enhance its service.

Founded in 2014, SSCBB provides free urgent transport for blood, blood products, and donated breast milk across three counties and beyond. The new Joggers will enable urgent deliveries during adverse weather, transport larger items, and support longer-distance journeys, having already covered over 20,000 miles in their first month.

The Dacia Jogger was selected over smaller vans for its practicality, reliability, and value for money. Jeremy Cartwright, Chair of SSCBB, explained that these vehicles will assist with urgent deliveries related to specific theatre operations, thereby preventing potential cancellations. Adding the Joggers increases flexibility, and the NHS saves money through timely transportation.

Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, praised the charity’s vital work and noted that the Jogger’s space and durability make it ideal for their needs.
