MINI has reaffirmed its commitment to community support with the annual ‘Mile of MINIs’ charity road rally on April 27. This year, over 120 MINIs of various ages and models drove in a mile-long convoy from MINI Plant Oxford to BMW Group Plant Swindon, raising £7,000 for Buttle UK, a charity that helps children and young people in financial need.

The event organised by The Italian Job has raised over £3 million for children’s charities since its inception in 1990. MINI Plant Oxford has supported the rally since 2021, serving as the starting point. Participants explored the on-site museum, which features historic MINI models such as the 1914 Morris Oxford Bullnose and a stunt car from the 2003 film, The Italian Job, alongside the latest MINI models.

MINI Plant Oxford, operational since 1913, is a leader in sustainable automotive production, while BMW Group Plant Swindon supplies body pressings and sub-assemblies for various BMW and MINI models.
