Celebrating 70 years since the debut of MG’s most aerodynamically advanced model, the MGA Factory Edition is Frontline Cars’ lightest and most refined restomod. Staying true to the original spirit, it provides an exhilarating modern driving experience and will debut at the 82nd Goodwood Members’ Meeting on April 12-13.

Weighing only 815 kg (dry), each Factory Edition is powered by a choice of naturally aspirated Duratec engines: a 2.0-litre unit delivering 225 bhp or a 2.5-litre variant producing 290 bhp. Features include individual throttle bodies, a modern ECU, stainless steel exhausts, and a five-speed manual gearbox that ensures responsive performance.

Frontline developed the chassis in-house, incorporating a limited-slip differential, a five-link rear suspension co-developed with Nitron, and upgraded brakes featuring four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers. A traditional fly-off handbrake integrates with modern braking technology, while adjustable electronic power steering enhances usability without sacrificing feel.

While modern features enhance performance, the MGA retains its classic look with contemporary touches, such as crystal-clear LED headlights and a custom Frontline logo.

The MGA always had more to give,” said Tim Fenna, Founder and Chief Engineer at Frontline Cars. “We preserved its iconic shape while transforming the driving experience. It looks like a classic but drives like something more advanced.”

Available in both roadster and coupé forms, each Factory Edition is constructed from a fully restored body, enabling customers to personalise every aspect of their vehicle.

Following its Goodwood debut (find Frontline at stands 51 and 52), the MGA Factory Edition will enter full production in Oxfordshire. Both right- and left-hand drive models can be ordered, with first deliveries expected in Summer 2026.
