Truck hire specialist MC Rental has finalised a significant order for 100 Mercedes-Benz Actros L tractor units, which feature the innovative ProCabin design. This marks the most significant order of this model in the UK.
The ProCabin’s sleek appearance not only sets it apart visually but also enhances aerodynamics, resulting in up to a three percent increase in fuel efficiency. The first trucks are expected to be delivered in May, with the full order completed throughout the year. All units will be powered by 390 kW (530 hp) 12.8-liter inline six-cylinder engines and will feature Giga ProCabins with double bunks, heated seats, fridges, and ambient lighting.
These trucks come equipped with advanced safety and technology features, including the latest version of Active Brake Assist, Active Sideguard Assist, and Predictive Powertrain Control, ensuring compliance with current General Safety Regulations.
MC Rental’s Director of Business Development, Gina Ritrovato, explained that customer feedback influences their vehicle selection. Key reasons for choosing the Actros include its reliability, efficiency, advanced safety features, driver comfort, and adherence to safety standards.
