Kia UK is launching its new electric van business at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show this April. At stand 5C95, the brand will showcase the PV5—the brand’s first fully electric van—alongside details about its commercial vehicle plans.

The PV5, first introduced at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), represents Kia’s shift to the PBV initiative, which stands for ‘Purpose Built Vehicle’ and ‘Platform Beyond Vehicle’. It will be referred to as ‘Professional Business Vans’ in the UK, aligning with local terminology.
Designed to set new standards in the mid-size electric van market, the PV5 will be offered as a panel van, a chassis cab, and a passenger version, catering to diverse needs.
Every PBV product comes with a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty. Kia’s collaboration with Geotab provides onboard technology with direct access to the Android App Store, enhancing fleet efficiency.
Mike Costain, Event Director for the CV Show, expressed excitement about Kia’s debut, emphasising the event’s role in showcasing innovative technologies in commercial vehicles.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, highlighted the PV5’s importance in the transition to electric power, stating, “Our phased and responsible market approach ensures we maintain the high standards recognised in our passenger cars.” He invited all van operators to visit the show to explore the new offerings.
The CV Show will be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham from 29 April until 1 May.
