Kia Corporation has unveiled the exterior design of its PV5 Passenger and PV5 Cargo models ahead of the second Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain.
The mid-sized PV5, first previewed by the Concept PV5 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2024, is the inaugural model under Kia’s global Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy. It seeks to redefine space and mobility, providing flexibility and customisation through innovative modularity.
Kia will offer the PV5 in various configurations, including the ‘Passenger Van’ for passenger comfort and the ‘Cargo Van’ optimised for freight transport. Further models and specialised variants will be unveiled at the 2025 Kia EV Day.

The PV5’s contemporary design distinguishes it from traditional light commercial vehicles. This design reflects Kia’s Opposites United philosophy, combining a sleek upper body with a sturdy lower section, striking lighting, and black geometric features for a futuristic appearance.
The PV5 Passenger Van features a sleek geometric profile with a low beltline that provides excellent visibility, enhanced by bold black graphic glass. In contrast, the PV5 Cargo presents a more boxy shape for improved space efficiency and twin side-opening tailgate doors for convenient access.
Kia’s 2025 EV Day will be held on February 24 in Tarragona, where the company will reveal more about the PV5, including additional models and conversion options. The detailed design features will be officially disclosed on February 27, and a video will be released on the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel in March.
