The Kia logo will be prominently featured on the new women’s cricket team kit, reflecting their previous presence on the Surrey and England Women’s Cricket teams from 2014 to 2021. The sponsorship agreement also comprises providing the Surrey women’s team with eight cars per season.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, conveyed pride in the partnership, highlighting Kia’s commitment to inclusion and equality. Emma Calvert, Director of Women’s Cricket at Surrey CCC, shared her enthusiasm for this new chapter and expressed gratitude for Kia’s continued support.Surrey’s team will make their debut as a newly formed professional side in the ECB One-Day Cup against Somerset Women at The County Cricket Ground in Beckenham on 23 April 2025. They will then host their first home match of the season at the Kia Oval on 5 June 2025 against Hampshire in the 2025 Vitality Blast.
Kia’s Long-standing Support
Kia first supported the England Women’s Cricket Team during the Women’s Ashes Series on 9 September 2013 by providing Kia pro_cee’d GT cars, contributing to England’s 12-4 victory. In July 2014, Kia became the team’s official partner and car supplier, supplying 19 Kia Sportage vehicles and obtaining sole title sponsorship of England Women’s Home Test matches.

In 2016, the Women’s Cricket Super League launched as the Kia Super League, the first standalone sponsorship for a domestic women’s cricket competition in England. Kia continued to support the England Women’s Team, increasing its fleet of vehicles to 24 in 2016 and extending partnerships multiple times until 2020.
Kia has also launched the Kia Summer Smash in collaboration with The Cricketer magazine, a T10 competition for recreational female cricketers.
In January 2024, Kia and Surrey CCC extended their partnership for another five years, making it the longest in the club’s 180-year history. This extension includes the sponsorship of the Kia Oval and a commitment to sustainable practices, with Kia aiming for net-zero emissions by 2045 across its global operations.
