Bugatti’s modern identity is closely associated with the large 8.0-litre, quad-turbo, W16 engine that powered the Veyron and the Chiron.

However, how do you replace such a dominant feature as times change? Bugatti again opted for 16 cylinders for the new Tourbillon, but this time in a ‘V’ configuration and without any turbos.

The engine has a massive 8.3-litre displacement, can rev up to 9,000rpm, and produces 986bhp and 664 lb-ft of torque before adding 789bhp of electric assistance via three e-motors.
