More clients and collectors now see the Rolls-Royce Spectre as a car with lasting importance. Built with the same enduring quality as every Rolls-Royce, both Spectre and its Black Badge version have quickly become part of the brand’s growing Goodwood-era collection.

From the beginning, Spectre was seen as a future classic. In its first full year, it sold better than both Wraith and Dawn did in their first years, showing that clients value Spectre as a genuine part of the brand’s legacy. Many collectors now see Spectre as a must-have, and its worldwide popularity is apparent: it was the second-most-requested Rolls-Royce in 2025.

In 2025, several unique Bespoke Spectres were introduced, showing that many people see Spectre as a long-term, meaningful investment instead of just a quick purchase. Examples include Spectre Bailey, a personal tribute to a client’s dog, and Spectre Soulmate, created to celebrate a couple’s shared history with Rolls-Royce. These commissions highlight the emotional and creative ways clients connect with Spectre.

Spectre’s design helps shape how people see it. Its strong shape, balanced lines, and smooth surfaces give a modern but timeless take on classic Rolls-Royce style. The split headlamps, inspired by the Phantom Coupé, and the bold Pantheon grille create a strong look, while the fastback shape evokes classic Rolls-Royce coupés. Inside, features like Starlight Doors and the Illuminated Fascia offer new ways for owners to personalise their cars, all with the brand’s usual attention to detail.

Spectre brings to life a vision from over 120 years ago and shows how forward-thinking it was. In 1900, The Hon. Charles Stewart Rolls predicted, “The electric car is perfectly noiseless and clean. There is no smell or vibration. They should become instrumental when fixed charging stations can be arranged.” With this belief, Spectre was meant to be a key car for Rolls-Royce collectors.

Spectre is also seen as a future classic because of its strong engineering. Built to last like every Rolls-Royce, it is considered by many to have an excellent electric powertrain. The brand demonstrates its trust in Spectre’s long-term performance by offering a 15-year, unlimited-mileage battery warranty to all new and existing Spectre owners.

After Spectre’s 2,500,000-kilometre testing programme, the most comprehensive in Rolls-Royce history, the company’s engineering teams still utilise prototype cars. One test showed that Spectre retained 99% of its battery capacity after 100,000 kilometres of real-world use in various climates. Despite this impressive performance, Rolls-Royce has committed to providing replacement batteries well beyond the middle of this century, ensuring ongoing support for every Spectre owner.

The Phantom Coupé is now joining the ranks of revered classics. Spectre continues this tradition, reflecting a generational shift among collectors towards highly bespoke electric Rolls-Royces: an evolution the marque has observed with interest as it develops its future product roadmap.

rolls-royce-spectre-crafted-to-be-a-classicQuote: “Spectre has been created with the same legacy that defines every Rolls-Royce. As the first of its kind, it marks a distinct moment in our history. Our clients understand this intuitively and commission Spectre as a Rolls-Royce to be admired and passed down for generations. This was reflected in its reception: Spectre was our most successful coupé launch to date.” Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
