On behalf of the Honda family of companies in the U.S., Honda is donating $500,000 to the American Red Cross to provide essential disaster relief for the tens of thousands of residents affected by the California wildfires. This donation will enable the American Red Cross to respond effectively and assist those in recovery across the impacted regions, which include the company’s U.S. sales and marketing headquarters and its associates.
In addition to this corporate disaster recovery donation, Honda Financial Services (HFS) and Acura Financial Services (AFS) are offering payment extensions and lease deferrals to customers affected by the wildfires. Customers can find more information by calling Honda Financial Services at (800) 445-1358 or Acura Financial Services at (866) 950-2439.
Honda is also providing its associates an opportunity to participate in the relief effort through the company’s matching fund program. Honda will match eligible donations dollar-for-dollar, up to a maximum of $1,000 per associate contribution.
“As a member of the Southern California community for over 60 years, Honda cares deeply about the local community and the impact of the devastating wildfires on families and businesses alike,” said Jennifer Thomas, senior vice president of Corporate Affairs at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “We hope this contribution will provide much-needed relief and support to all displaced residents and those otherwise affected by this tragic and ongoing disaster.”
