HIVED, the leading all-electric parcel delivery company, has ordered 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks—nine eActros 600s and two eActros 400s—to expand the UK’s only end-to-end electric delivery network. These trucks will operate in HIVED’s nationwide middle-mile network, collecting parcels from retailer warehouses for customer delivery.

The eActros 600, with a battery capacity of over 600 kWh, can travel at least 500 km (310 miles) on a single charge. Next year, HIVED plans to install megawatt chargers at its hubs in West London, the Midlands, and Manchester, allowing the eActros 600 to charge from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Stuart Jeggo, Sales & Marketing Director of Daimler Truck UK Limited, expressed excitement about partnering with HIVED as they roll out their first electric HGVs. James Venables, Head of Future Sustainability at Daimler Truck UK, noted that HIVED’s commitment to an all-electric service showcases the sustainability potential of electric trucks in the delivery sector.

Mathias Krieger, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of HIVED, remarked that they are setting a new standard by being the first delivery company to operate an all-electric delivery network for both middle and final miles.
