The Kia EV3 has secured victory in the ‘Small Crossover’ category at the UK Car of the Year (UKCOTY) Awards 2025, enabling it to compete for the overall ‘UK Car of the Year 2025’ award, which will be announced on 6 March 2025.
Founded in 2014, the UKCOTY Awards are independent accolades aimed at the car-buying public, highlighting the finest new vehicles available. Judges from various regions and esteemed automotive outlets evaluate the nominees.
As Kia’s latest and most affordable electric vehicle, the EV3 offers impressive passenger and cargo space, a range of up to 375 miles (WLTP) on a single charge, and innovative technologies. Its design includes a compact exterior and a spacious, ‘living-room-inspired’ interior.
Judges praised the EV3 for being unique, safe, competitively priced, and suitable for families. Gareth Herincx mentioned that it features a seven-year warranty and is straightforward to drive. Alex Grant pointed out its excellent handling on UK roads and impressive range, making it a sensible choice for families.
The EV3 bolsters Kia’s impressive track record at the UKCOTY Awards, following the EV9’s triumph last year when it claimed the ‘Large Crossover’ category and the overall title of ‘UK Car of the Year 2024.’ The Kia UK website is located here.
