Renault is now accepting reservations for the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, a modern electric version of the iconic Renault 5 Turbo from the 1980s. The introductory price is £135,000 (including VAT, excluding options), available for the first 500 reservations made through the Renault network. This vehicle will be sold in Europe, the Middle East, Japan, and Australia.

Starting April 22, customers can fill out a reservation form on Renault’s website, select a dealer, and secure their place for one of the 1,980 numbered models. Customers can also choose the number of their future car for an additional fee. Dealers will participate in the pre-financing of the vehicle alongside customers.

In early 2026, dealers will contact customers to specify personalisation options such as historic colours and new designs. Customers may also meet with Renault designers to create a unique look. Orders will be finalised in the first half of 2027, with deliveries expected later that year.

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E features a custom aluminium platform, two in-wheel motors, and outputs of 540 hp and 4,800 Nm of torque. It weighs under 1,450 kg, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds, and has a WLTP range exceeding 400 km.

  • The vehicle will also be displayed in RNLT stores across Europe and at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 10 to 13, 2025, in the UK..
