Tyres for electric and hybrid vehicles must meet specific requirements, including low rolling resistance, optimal traction, and the ability to handle heavy loads. Falken’s e. ZIEX AO model, available in 235/65R18 H XL and 255/60R18 H XL sizes, meets these standards and has been supplied to the Audi plant in Ingolstadt since May 2023 for the AUDI Q6 e-tron production.
Premiering in spring 2023, the e. ZIEX is one of the most energy-efficient tyres from the Sumitomo Rubber Group. Its asymmetric tread, designed with Advanced 4D Nano Design technology, ensures uniform force distribution for better grip on wet and dry surfaces, while optimizing rolling resistance to enhance the vehicle’s range.
In AutoBild’s 2024 summer tyre test, the Falken e. ZIEX exhibited the lowest rolling resistance and performed well in fuel consumption metrics.
Christian Stolting, OE Sales Director at Falken Tyre Europe, expressed pride in contributing to Audi’s reputation for quality and innovation. The tyres, designated with an “A” for Audi, are available in 29 sizes from 15 to 21 inches, approved for speed classes H/V/W (210–240 km/h).
