Audi is enhancing the Q4 e-tron lineup with a new entry-level variant, the Q4 40 e-tron. This fully electric vehicle features extensive standard equipment, offers a range of up to 258 miles, and supports fast DC charging at 165 kW. Orders for the 63 kWh battery model will begin on March 13.
In 2024, the Q4 e-tron became the second-best-selling electric vehicle in the UK. The smaller battery allows up to 250 miles of range for the SUV and 258 miles for the Sportback. Charging from 10% to 80% takes just 24 minutes, with up to 93 miles of range added in 10 minutes.
The Q4 40 e-tron accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 8.1 seconds and has a top speed of 99 mph. It features a rear-mounted motor with 204 PS (150 kW). Both variants can tow 1,000 kg at a 12% incline and 1,200 kg at an 8% incline.
Charging times are optimised with an intelligent route planner and an automatic battery preconditioning function. Drivers can also manually preheat the battery through the MMI for better-charging results.
The MMI includes the Audi application store, providing access to popular apps without a smartphone. A one-year, 25 GB data package is included. The upgraded voice-operated system enhances driving safety by allowing control of infotainment and navigation via voice commands.
In the UK, the Q4 40 e-tron costs £46,600, while the Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron starts at £48,100. Standard features include Audi MMI Navigation Plus and a fully digital 10.25-inch virtual cockpit. The Audi UK website for more is located here.
