Volkswagen will unveil a show car for its new entry-level model at the beginning of March, with the production version set for a 2027 release. Priced around €20,000, this electric model aims to attract a variety of customers. Schäfer noted, “An affordable, high-quality, profitable electric Volkswagen from Europe for Europe.”
This new entry-level model is part of Volkswagen’s strategy for affordable electric mobility. The production version of the ID. 2all will reach dealerships in 2026, becoming the brand’s first all-electric small car priced under €25,000.
Since launching the ID. Line, Volkswagen has sold over 1.35 million ID—vehicles worldwide, including around 500,000 ID.3 models. Last year, the brand sold 383,100 all-electric cars.
