XPENG, a high-tech automotive company from China, has officially entered the UK market and launched the pre-sale of its first right-hand drive model, the XPENG G6. This ultra-smart, all-electric mid-size coupe SUV marks a significant milestone in the global automotive and EV markets.
Dr Brian Gu, Vice Chairman and President of XPENG, stated, “Our launch in the UK, in partnership with International Motors Ltd (IML), represents a crucial step in XPENG’s global expansion. We are eager to introduce smarter, more sustainable mobility to UK consumers with our cutting-edge technology.”
The UK, now the largest EV market in Europe, is a key focus for XPENG’s international strategy. IML, with nearly 50 years of experience in vehicle distribution, will open 20 dealerships across the UK by 2025 to establish a strong local presence.
William Brown, Managing Director of IML UK, expressed pride in partnering with XPENG, emphasizing their commitment to advancing electric mobility.
XPENG plans to deliver an innovative driving experience through AI-driven technologies. At the launch event, the company showcased its vehicle lineup, including the XPENG P7+, G6, G9, and the eVTOL X2 flying car.
Pre-orders for the G6 are now open, starting at £39,990, with deliveries expected in March 2025. The G6 boasts 800-volt supercharging and zero tailpipe emissions, catering to the needs of UK and European consumers while offering a seamless driving experience.
