The Donington Historic Festival will take place at Donington Park from Friday, May 2, through Sunday, May 4, featuring classic race cars from ten decades. Attendees can enjoy demonstrations of the Williams-BMW FW22 Formula 1 car, super touring car showcases, parades of supercars, children’s activities, and brass band performances.
Motor Racing Legends has revamped the festival format, expanding the number of races and using the full Donington Park Grand Prix circuit for the first time. Notable highlights for 2025 will include a special Pre-War Sports Car race commemorating the 90th anniversary of Richard “Mad Jack” Shuttleworth’s inaugural Grand Prix victory, as well as the introduction of a GT3 Legends series featuring supercars from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren.
Saturday will kick off with qualifying sessions for the Historic Touring Car Challenge and the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy, followed by the ‘Mad Jack’ race for Pre-War Sports Cars. The day will feature several other races and conclude with a two-hour endurance race for the Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup.
Sunday will focus on touring car enthusiasts, showcasing a variety of classic races, including the Tony Dron Trophy race and the HRDC Gerry Marshall Trophy Series. The weekend will culminate with races for pre-1966 sports, GT, and touring cars.
**Demonstrations and Attractions**
Highlights include the Williams FW22 demonstration and iconic super tourers. Additional attractions will feature a race paddock, free pit lane walks, a trade village, children’s activities, and a Spitfire flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Advance tickets start at £15 for adults (16 and over) on Friday, with discounts for teens aged 13-15. Three-day weekend tickets are £45 for adults and £28 for teens, while children under 13 enter for free. Advance sales end at 4 PM on Wednesday, April 30, after which tickets will be available at the gate.
