As we approach the New Year and the return of our motorsport events, Goodwood has announced the theme for the 2025 Festival of Speed, presented by Mastercard: “The Winning Formula—Champions and Challengers.”
This year’s theme celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship, highlighting the relentless pursuit of excellence that has inspired all forms of racing since 1950. The Festival will showcase legendary cars, drivers, teams, and personalities, promising to be the biggest celebration of Formula 1 yet. Additional details will be revealed in January.
In addition to Formula 1, the Festival will commemorate 125 years of motorsport innovation and competition, including the 125th anniversaries of the Gordon Bennett Cup and the Thousand Mile Trial, along with the 100th anniversary of the World Manufacturers’ Championship, won by Alfa Romeo’s groundbreaking P2.
The Festival of Speed will also feature competitors from all major motorsport championships, including the World Endurance Championship, World Rally Championship, Formula E, IndyCar, NASCAR, Dakar, MotoGP, and World Superbikes.
The Duke of Richmond CBE DL expressed his delight in celebrating motorsport’s rich history through the theme “The Winning Formula.” Karun Chandhok added his excitement for the incredible lineup expected at the event.
