The UK government announced the phase-out of new petrol and diesel models from 2030, but the deadline was later extended to 2035. A survey found that 59% of motorists with petrol or diesel cars plan to keep them as long as possible due to concerns about environmental impact and suitability of electric vehicles (EVs). Many people want to explore alternative sustainable motoring options and believe that the government’s environmental policy should include a complete life cycle analysis for different ‘green’ alternatives.

SUSTAIN, a brand specializing in sustainable fuel, emphasizes the importance of embracing credible alternatives to fossil fuels. They advocate for utilizing all available technologies, including sustainable fuels that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 80% compared to fossil fuels. SUSTAIN’s biofuel, made from agricultural waste, has been used to set world powerboating speed records and support environmental efforts at events.

There is also a lack of awareness about the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate, which aims to phase out new ICE vehicle sales. SUSTAIN urges the government to embrace sustainable fuel and other opportunities, rather than sidelining innovations.
