eBay has announced the winner of the Van Conversion of the Year Awards for 2025, emphasising innovative engineering and a contemporary, welcoming interior. Charlie Ding and Rosie Wells from Poynton, Cheshire, won the award, receiving a trophy and a £10,000 cash prize.

The awards, now in their third year, were judged by a panel led by TV presenter George Clarke and celebrated the best Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) conversions in the UK, with a focus on design, space utilisation, and craftsmanship.

Charlie and Rosie’s van, inspired by their travels in Vietnam and designed with their dog Little Rosie in mind, won the ‘Clever Camper’ category and was shortlisted for the overall prize. Their transformation of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter included a fully equipped kitchen and a multifunctional wardrobe/shower area.

The couple spent 18 months on their project, which has already taken them to 13 countries in Europe.
