UK makers are encouraged to secure space early, as Car Culture UK and Motorsport Expo will run alongside each other.

A new zone at ExCeL London will showcase the spectrum of British vehicle design, engineering, and manufacturing to a national audience. This includes global marques, volume plants, specialist coachbuilders, restomod houses, and the leisure-vehicle industry.

The London International Motor Show 2027, set for 26–28 February at ExCeL London, will introduce the Built in Britain zone. This new feature aims to promote UK companies that design, engineer, and build vehicles, offering manufacturers of all sizes a shared platform.

Built in Britain will unite the country’s diverse output, from luxury and performance marques to motorcycles, commercial vehicles, restomods, and the British-built caravan and campervan sector.

UK vehicle manufacturing is a major employer and exporter, but its full scope is rarely visible in one place. Built in Britain offers a single destination to compare and celebrate vehicles made domestically.

Stephen Maitland-Oxley, Event Director, noted British vehicle manufacturing is thriving and broader than most realise. He emphasised the country produces both luxury cars and hardworking specialist vehicles. He hopes visitors will be surprised by the extent of domestic design, engineering, and manufacturing.

The zone welcomes businesses of every scale, from major manufacturers and OEMs to low-volume specialists and electric-conversion firms. Exhibitors will reach the public, trade, and media during the three-day event.

Alec Mumford from the show highlighted that Built in Britain allows both large and small manufacturers to reach the same audience, a rarity in such events. He encouraged UK makers to secure space early, as Car Culture UK and Motorsport Expo will run alongside.
