DENZA, the premium automotive brand of the BYD Group, makes its official debut in the UK at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The brand will showcase its European design, elegant materials, and innovations, including the Super DM hybrid, with models such as the Z9GT Grand Tourer and the B5 premium SUV.
As preparations for sales in 2026 proceed, DENZA will highlight its use of extensive research and development resources from BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new-energy vehicles, to deliver exceptional performance.
The Z9GT will take centre stage, offering a choice between a fully electric powertrain and a Super DM plug-in hybrid. This model will showcase the capabilities of its e3 Platform, which includes precision control technology for easier parking. The lineup will also feature the D9, an MPV designed for business-class comfort, as well as another model focused on off-road capabilities.

Founded in 2010 as a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz, DENZA blends European luxury with Chinese electrification expertise. Although the brand is now fully owned by BYD, its design remains led by renowned German designer Wolfgang Egger, supported by a skilled team of over 120,000 engineers.

At its core, the Z9GT employs the advanced e3 Platform, which features innovative elements such as a three-motor independent drive and Vehicle Motion Control. These technologies enable the vehicle to achieve tight turning circles and exceptional manoeuvrability, setting new benchmarks for safety and performance in the premium automotive market.
