Honda has launched an interactive map, “Honda Dream Drives,” celebrating nearly 30 years of Civic Type R sales in Europe. This map features over 120 exciting routes across 25 countries, helping drivers find exhilarating roads and hidden gems for their road trips.
Curated with input from motoring experts and Civic Type R enthusiasts, the map provides routes spanning from northern Scotland to southern Spain. Drivers can explore themes such as scenic, coastal, cross-country, or mountainous drives, with seamless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Iconic routes include Italy’s Stelvio Pass and Scotland’s North Coast 500, alongside lesser-known local favourites like Hungary’s Káli-medence.
Nik Pearson, General Manager of Corporate Communications at Honda Motor Europe, said that this map is the ideal farewell to the Civic Type R, allowing drivers to experience the thrill of driving across Europe.
Users can access the map via the address below, where they can search for specific roads or browse by country, route type, or distance. Detailed location information, potential hazards, and seasonal closures are included, along with a direct link to Google Maps for easy navigation.

**Farewell to Type R**
Honda’s iconic red badge has symbolised the brand’s most exciting high-performance models since the NSX Type R was launched in 1992. The Type R made its European debut in 1997 with the Integra, but it was the EP3 Civic four years later that established its legacy. Over 25 years and five generations, the Civic set standards for performance and driver engagement, selling more than 70,000 units in Europe.
The Civic Type R also achieved lap records for front-wheel-drive production cars at renowned circuits like Spa-Francorchamps and Silverstone. The current FL5 generation still holds the Nürburgring record, with a time of 7 minutes and 44.881 seconds.
