In this Carwow video, Mat Watson poses the burning question while also addressing the concerns many British consumers are expressing…

The Jaecoo 7 is a mid-size SUV from China and is currently the most popular car on Carwow. Mat is examining it to discover what all the excitement is about.

One significant benefit lies in its pricing: beginning at £30,000 and increasing to £35,000 for the plug-in hybrid, it undercuts numerous competitors, particularly with potential savings of approximately £2,500 through Carwow.

In terms of design, the Jaecoo possesses a bold and striking presence, akin to that of a Range Rover. It showcases a large grille, stylish headlights, pop-out door handles, and a sleek rear featuring a hidden windscreen wiper.

Inside, the Jaecoo features modern technology, including a large, user-friendly infotainment screen, a digital dial display, and a heads-up display as standard. Although the seats may not be the most comfortable, the cabin offers ample storage and is generally pleasant.

Engine options feature a 1.6-litre turbo petrol producing 147 horsepower and a 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid generating 204 horsepower, with the petrol engine available in AWD or FWD.

Does the Jaecoo 7 possess sufficient appeal to compete with established brands, or is it wiser to remain with what you know? Stay tuned to discover!
