Škoda UK has just announced the launch of a fantastic new Cargo variant of their award-winning Enyaq range, developed in collaboration with Strongs Plastic Products Ltd. This innovative model is exclusively available to fleet customers through Škoda’s dedicated Area Fleet Managers.
The Enyaq Cargo has officially been registered as a light commercial vehicle (LCV) with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), marking a significant step forward in 2024. Notably, National Grid Energy Distribution (NGED) has already placed an order for 70 Enyaq Cargo models to improve the sustainability of its fleet, which includes over 300 fully electric vans and 600 electric company cars.
Built on the solid foundation of the Enyaq 85 and 85x models, the Cargo features all-wheel drive and a spacious load area made from lightweight plastic materials, ensuring safety and efficiency. A robust bulkhead provides additional safety and comfort. Moreover, this vehicle is designed with flexible configurations to meet the varied needs of businesses.
When it comes to performance, the Enyaq Cargo does not disappoint! It offers impressive driving ranges and quick DC rapid charging capabilities, with the 85 model charging at up to 135 kW and the 85x at an impressive 175 kw. Both models have a WLTP range of 359 miles for the 85 and 332 miles for the 85x.
This marks Škoda’s first entry into battery electric vehicles designed for commercial use, with the Enyaq Edition 85 starting at £44,310 OTR, plus conversion costs beginning at £1,815 + VAT based on your individual specifications. What an exciting time for sustainable business solutions!
