Škoda’s Elroq vRS has won the Car of the Year award from The Times Driving, as well as being named Mid-sized SUV of the Year. Launched this year, it is Škoda’s second all-electric vRS model, featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined output of 340 PS, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 111 mph. Its 79 kWh battery provides a WLTP range of up to 339 miles.
The panel commended the Elroq vRS’s driving dynamics and value for money. Will Dron from The Times highlighted its strong performance and innovative features that blend everyday usability with excitement. The non-vRS version also received praise for its impressive interior space and practical design.
The Elroq has quickly earned praise in the UK, including Car of the Year 2025 at the Auto Express New Car Awards and Family Electric SUV of the Year at the What Car? Awards. The range starts at £31,710 OTR, with the vRS model priced from £46,560 OTR.
