The 2025 model year versions of the Mazda3 are now available for order, and orders for the 2025 Mazda CX-30 will be available later this autumn. Both models maintain their award-winning exterior design and high-class interiors. New features for all 2025 Mazda3s and Mazda CX-30s include integrated Alexa Voice Assistant and upgrades to the Mazda navigation system, such as cloud-based points of interest and database updates. These connectivity upgrades complement the existing features like a 10.25-inch centre screen, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Qi Wireless Charging, and USB Type-C charging ports, which were introduced for the 2024 model year.
The most significant change to the 2025 Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 lineup is the introduction of a new e-Skyactiv G engine. This new engine replaces the current 2.0-litre 122ps e-Skyactiv G engine and is the popular 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv G engine found in the Mazda CX-5. This engine now produces 140ps and features cylinder de-activation and the Mazda M-Hybrid mild-hybrid system.
With the introduction of the new engine, there is an 18ps increase to the entry-point engine in the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 range, resulting in an increase in usable torque and real-world performance. The new engine also provides improved noise, vibration, and harshness characteristics, enhancing overall refinement.
The introduction of the 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv G engine highlights Mazda’s ‘right-sizing’ approach, allowing for a larger combustion chamber, lower emissions, and high levels of torque to improve driving feel. The top of both model lineups retains the 186ps e-Skyactiv-X engine, featuring Mazda’s unique SPCCI Spark Controlled Compression Ignition technology, ensuring improved fuel economy and a smoother engine feel during acceleration.
Both the 2025 Mazda3 and 2025 Mazda CX-30 lineups offer both engines with manual or automatic transmission. The Mazda CX-30 e-Skyactiv X Takumi is available with all-wheel drive, and the Mazda3 Saloon comes exclusively with the 186ps e-Skyactiv X engine, offered in Exclusive-Line grade. The stylish Mazda3 Saloon, 200mm longer than its hatchback sibling, provides a stylish and standout option in the compact premium saloon sector.
