MG’s popular HS SUV, launched this summer, has received a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. The MG HS SE 1.5T excelled in tests for adult and child occupant safety and features designed to protect vulnerable road users.
This model joins the award-winning MG4 EV, which also holds a 5-star safety rating and received high marks from Green NCAP for emissions. Euro NCAP noted that the HS has incorporated advanced safety technologies since its last testing in 2019, maintaining its top rating.
Key safety features include an autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system, protection against ‘dooring,’ Active Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and more, standard across all HS models. The unveiling of the new petrol and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed emphasizes MG’s value in the SUV market, with prices starting at £24,995 for the petrol HS SE 1.5T and £33,995 for the HS Trophy PHEV, accompanied by a 7-year/80,000-mile warranty.
Since 1997, Euro NCAP has been a benchmark for vehicle safety in Europe, helping consumers make informed choices with comprehensive and independent evaluations.
